Failure to act in a cardiac emergency can lead to unnecessary deaths and survival rates between 40-50 percent have been achieved where AEDs have successfully been implemented. Having an AED close by can mean the difference between life and death for a victim of sudden cardiac arrest. With every minute that goes by, survival rates drop 10 percent. It is important to understand that many victims appear healthy with no known heart disease or other risk factors. Sudden cardiac arrest is indiscriminate towards race, age, and gender. Our goal is to keep communities heart-safe.
