In the wake of the devastation wrought by Typhoon Haiyan, Angie travels with Team Rubicon and life-saving equipment to the hardest hit area of Taclobon.

Angie was chosen by Team Rubicon to fly to the Philippines on November 17th for ten days. She will be part of their Medical Team.

Angie texted from her intensive, two-day training near LAX.

"This is an outstanding organization. I have had the pleasure of meeting people who have flown in from all over the United States.  We have lots of medics, firefighters, Drs, Pediatricians, Neurosurgeons etc. Apparently there is no infrastructure over there and as a team we will be doing some search and rescue, treating patients in a clinic and ER where will treat everything from infected wounds, to delivering babies. We will fly to Manilla, then take a military C130 plane to our location in hardest hit area of Tacloban."
